Calily TM Starter Gift Set of Essential Oils – 14 Bottles

While I am a relative novice at essential oils, I’ve been dabbling off and on for the last several months with using different blends for use in diffusers, as well as in several DIY health and beauty products I’ve been making. Both my husband and I are learning the benefits of different oils, and different oil combinations, and collecting the variety of oils needed for the different preparations can be quite expensive. This Set by Calily is a godsend. It contains fourteen (14) different oils, most of which are some of the more commonly used ones. Some are duplicates to oils I already have, so I was able to compare the aroma and the consistency of the oils, and how well they work in products I make regularly. The oils in this batch that I already have by other oil companies are lavender, Rosemary, Sweet Orange, Eucalyptus, Lemon and Tea Tree. Those are also the ones I use the most in my diffuser. Additionally, others that I had heard of and wanted to try are Bergamot, Clary Sage and Patchouli. To round off this kit, it also contains Spearmint, Grapefruit, Cinnamon Leaf and Lime, and while I do not know their use, I am certainly open to learning and experimenting with them. Each oil is in a dark 10 ml bottle, which is quite generous for the price they are charging.

My only complaint is that the label is extremely difficult for my old eyes to read, so I am going to have to add little labels so that I can tell what is what. These oils compare positively with the ones I already have, and seem to be of similar quality. If someone is just starting out with essential oils, this is the set I would recommend because it contains most of the oils in the more common aromatherapy formulas, so the newbie can get started immediately with oils.

I received a complimentary sample of this product in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.

    1. These are therapeutic quality, completely pure with no additives or dilutions, and my understanding is that they should NOT be taken internally unless you are under the care of a professional who understands all the potential issues. I’ve used peppermint, lemon and orange in lip balm, which I know that I lick my lips and can taste a bit of the flavor and have had no ill effects, but I wouldn’t recommend it. I believe there are some essential oils out there that are rated ‘food grade’ and those are usually cut with other things to make them safer for ingestion. I am NOT an expert however, so hopefully someone might see this who knows more than I do.

    1. Hi Valorie!

I am a top 1000 reviewer on Amazon.com, and many different merchants contact me to review their products. I’ve been reviewing my purchases on Amazon for over 2 years, and review everything I own (whether I bought it on Amazon or not). It took about a year and a half before companies & merchants began contacting me. I turn away a lot of products that just don’t interest me, and only review those things (for the most part) that I would have ordinarily purchased or wanted to purchase if I could afford. No easy answer to your question, I still am amazed when I get an email asking me if I will review a company’s product.
