I love bread. Unfortunately my wallet doesn’t. I try to eat healthier bread, but often at the end of the month I get what I can afford. Zack from Keyton has given me one of their new bread machines to test, and omg, is there anything better than home-made bread? I don’t think so. This is a great bread machine with 25 options, I have only explored 1 or 2 at the time of this post. I use it to make bread. Period. However, if you are adventurous, this machine has settings to make dough without baking, as well as yogurt, roasted nuts???, and vinegar. I am looking forward to trying those features when I figure those out, but for now, my palate and my stomach are both grateful for the bread settings. YUM. Here is the link to my review video on YouTube.
Why not 5 stars? Well, two reasons, and not because the tops of my loaves aren’t looking the way I want, the bread is still yummy. The owner’s manual is in VERY small print, and I had to pull out a magnifying glass to read it, and it contained only the most basic information about bread machines. It also didn’t come with ANY recipes which really surprised me. The other issue is the price which seemed a bit high, but it is such a full-featured machine it might be worth it if I used ALL the features.
I still love this machine and plan to use it often. Even my hunny who isn’t a fan of bread loved the loaves I made with this machine. And I am saving money!

I am a type 2 diabetic and have been struggling of late with keeping my sugars under control. My a1c score has been concerning and my doctor is telling me that if it isn’t under control, we may have to try other ways to manage it, so when I saw this product and that the merchant was willing to provide it in exchange for a review, I jumped at it. It is a liquid that uses a dropper, and tastes HORRIBLE. However, they warned me about that and suggested that I add about 10 drops to a water bottle and sip it throughout the day. You cannot taste it in water, at least not in the 16 oz or 32 oz bottles I use, and my daily readings have been better in the two weeks I’ve been using the supplement. Hopefully that will be evident in my A1C scores when I visit the doctor next month

I’ve only recently gotten my first GoPro (my husband has had one for awhile), and while neither of us are adventurous or athletic, we both love taking photos and videos and love to record our pets and our road trips. These cameras allow us to do so without worrying about packing an extensive camera bag or collection. I love these wrist straps by MuvePro because I keep them in our glove box, and when we hop out of the car, I can have my camera on my wrist which is easily accessible. I don’t do a lot of boating, so I cannot imagine using the floating band for that, but any time I am near the water, I wear it because frankly, I am clumsy, and if anything I am liable to simply trip or drop it in the ocean, never to be seen again. Hopefully with this on my wrist it won’t go flying, but if it does, the floater should keep it visible (hopefully a better swimmer than I will grab it for me) or else it will remain visible as it floats out to sea :P.
You can find these straps here.
You can see my new action camera (GoPro clone) here.

I am not a good traveler, I tend to fall asleep in the car (only when I’m in the passenger seat!), but my head will fall forward and I’ll have a sore neck, so then I’ll be cranky. This neck pillow solves that in so many ways. First of all, it fits perfectly around my neck and even has a snap closure to keep it in place. This is made of memory foam so once it shapes to my neck, it is there, but not obviously there. I also get really warm easily, and during warmer weather, I wouldn’t use something like this because I would hate if my neck got too hot, but this has properties that provide a cooling sensation. I like the feel of the fabric covering, the color is vibrant, and it helps keep my neck from getting sore while traveling. This would also work great on the rare occasions that I travel by plane, because although it is full size when out of it’s carry bag, it squeezes into a much smaller size so that I don’t have to worry about carrying around a big pillow in addition to other bags. Very convenient!

My doctor prescribed Vitamin D3 for me about a year ago to aid in treating and controlling my Type 2 Diabetes. I take it in conjunction with my metformin (because Type 2 isn’t a lack of insulin, it is the body’s inability to absorb the insulin that is present in sufficient quantity to control the sugar). Vitamin D3 aids the body in the absorption of insulin, thereby helping to control the diabetes and hopefully, eventually, healing the body enough to no longer be diabetic. I haven’t had or been taking this brand very long, but there are several things about it that I like. The size of the pill is standard for Vitamin D3, but I really like that it is such a high potency (I must take at ‘least’ 3000 IU a day and this is 5000 IU which is perfectly acceptable. I don’t know if it really helps me or not, but my Doctor wants me to take it and if I can find an organic version like this, then that is one more thing that I can do for my health.

My husband and I recently moved into a new home with an amazing yard. Some landscaping had been done by a previous owner/tenant, and there are trees galore, in fact our back yard is forested, with about 1/3 acre of protected wetlands coming up to within 10 yards of the house. This makes for some interesting encounters with wildlife (our security cam picked up a VERY large cat near our back door the other night). But two recent items we received for review are making the spending of time in our yard more pleasurable. This would be a hammock and a swinging chair. Both were offered at steep or complete discounts in order for us to provide reviews on Amazon, but the difference they have made in our yard has made me want to review them here as well.
The first is the Zeny(R) Blue Hanging Rope Chair by Natorytain .
Lovely chair, and while this is not a photo of it on our patio (I would LOVE that patio), it is how this chair looks. We have it mounted on a special hanger that my husband built on a tree in our yard. It holds up to 265 lbs which means it is either for one or two very light individuals. It is sturdy and well made and just adds a certain fun to our yard. Very comfortable too! The only thing I would change would be to have mosquito repellent built in :P.
The other item is the hammock. This is the
This hammock was assembled very quickly, and is great for napping and enjoying cooler weather in our yard. It is easy to move and will hold my husband without sagging. I have always wanted a hammock, and now our yard feels like the yard of my dreams. All I need to do is grow a green thumb and plant some flowers for next spring and summer. Marigolds would remind me of home and Mom’s rock garden with hens & chickens (the plant not the critters). These both get five stars from me for their durable construction, as well as their bright colors that coincidentally went quite well with each other. Hopefully we will have many years with this set up!
My husband received complimentary or discounted samples of these two items in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.
OK, so I am not the world’s healthiest eater, and I love junk food. Just like the old commercial used to say “I can’t eat just one”, but with some things, if I could restrict myself to one portion or one cup I can maintain and be a bit healthier. This container is PERFECT for helping me to do this. I used to buy a bag of chips or a can of nuts, or even a bag of M&Ms to have in/on my desk at my office. If I was having a bad day *BOOM* the whole thing would be gone. But this perfect little portion control container has helped me curb stress eating a little bit (there are still vending machines around the corner from my office). I usually put one completely bad for me snack in one of the compartment (chips/Fritos/candy), and the other two hold carrot sticks/jicama sticks (my current favorite), and the final one holds about 1/2 a cup of almonds or pecans (or whichever nut is currently my favorite). This is all I bring to work, so I am forced to ration myself (I usually leave my coins in my husbands coin bowl (so he can cash them in at Coin-Star for an Amazon gift card).
I imagine this would be great for folks with small children, but I think it is perfect for me. Here is the link to their website:
